"The Hermitage Domaine des Tourettes 2022 reveals a pure and elegant bouquet of flowers, black berries, and spices, complemented by notes of licorice. Medium-bodied to full-bodied, structured and refined, it features velvety, fine tannins, with an energetic mid-palate enhanced by lively acidity, and concludes with a long, ethereal, and elegant finish. This magnificent Hermitage exudes great energy and freshness and will benefit from being left for some time to integrate its aging. It promises to be a remarkable bottle. " (Wine Advocate 2025)

Bettane & Desseauve
Rated estate (2023 guide) 3*Stars (High-quality production, setting the standard in its sector)
About the estate:
At his new facilities in the heart of Tain, Jacques Grange has a superb, state-of-the-art facility at his disposal. He is assisted by Marco Beckmann, an Italian oenologist and expert taster. The coming vintages look promising. In Hermitage, the new cuvée from the Grandes Vignes at the top of the hill brings this underutilized terroir to the forefront.

Rated estate (2023 guide) Award-winning wines (This producer’s wines are regularly recognized by the guide)
About the estate:
Founded in 1835, the house has been owned by Champagne Deutz (Roederer Group) since 1977. Under the leadership of Fabrice Rosset and his technical director Jacques Grange, it owns 30 hectares of vineyards in the northern appellations, supplemented by purchased grapes; the southern range comes from the négociant-éleveur division.

About the wine:
Made from grapes grown in two sections of the Hermitage hill, Les Bessards (seven hectares) and Les Grandes Vignes (two hectares and the highest-altitude vines on the hill), the Hermitage Domaine des Tourettes 2022 reveals a pure and elegant bouquet of flowers, black berries, and spices, complemented by notes of licorice. Medium-bodied to full-bodied, structured and refined, it features velvety, fine tannins, with an energetic mid-palate enhanced by lively acidity, and concludes with a long, ethereal, and elegant finish. This magnificent Hermitage exudes energy and freshness and will benefit from being cellared for some time to integrate its aging. It promises to be a remarkable bottle. It was aged entirely in barrels, 25% of which were new, and only the Les Grandes Vignes portion underwent fermentation with 80% whole clusters.
RVF - La Revue du Vin de France / Guide des Meilleurs Vins de France
Rated Estate (2023 Guide) Selected (Please note that this guide is a ranking, and as such, all the estates listed here—even those without a star—represent, in our view, the pinnacle of French winemaking.)
About the estate:
Part of the Deutz Champagne house since 1977—which itself is part of the Louis Roederer group—Delas is a reputable winery. Priority has been given to vineyards with extensive mass-selection plantings. The house cultivates 30 hectares of its own vineyards, including 10 very well-located plots in Hermitage: 8 in Les Bessards and 2 in L'Ermite. The house rounds out its range with purchases of must or grapes. We admit to being somewhat cautious at times regarding the overly pronounced aging of the most prestigious vintages, which, in our opinion, would benefit from being crafted with a greater emphasis on fruit and freshness. It is worth noting that, since 2019, the winery has had a brand-new winemaking and reception facility in Tain.

Jancis Robinson
Wine rated (2023 guide) 17/20
About the wine:
A very full-bodied and spicy nose, with notes of metal and dry earth. The palate is fairly straightforward, featuring a blend of savory, full-bodied notes and ripe black fruit. The tannins are very well integrated, fine, and balanced within the wine’s structure. A fresh and appealing acidity brings liveliness and direction.
Vinous
Wine rated (2024 guide) 93/100
About the wine:
The Hermitage Domaine des Tourettes 2022 reveals notes of ripe red fruit, black cherry, and black plum, accompanied by vegetal undertones and a hint of black pepper. Medium-bodied, taut, and well-structured, this flavorful wine requires at least three more years in a cool cellar for its firm tannic core to soften.

Rated winery (2022 guide) Recommended
About the wine:
A complex, toasty nose with deep aromas of red fruit. A refined Hermitage, quite approachable for an appellation known for requiring long aging. Full-bodied and elegant, with subtle tannins on the palate, medium-bodied. Then, just when you think it’s a bit too easy, the structured, mineral finish reminds you who’s in charge. Sourced primarily from the lower slopes of Les Bessards. Aged 100% in Burgundy oak barrels, a quarter of which are new, for 15 months. Can be enjoyed now, but will reach its peak starting in 2025.

About the wine:
Notes of blackberry, blackcurrant, leather, and graphite define the 2022 Hermitage Domaine Des Tourettes, a fragrant, complex, and classic expression of Hermitage. With medium to full body, abundant sweet fruit, ripe tannins, and a lovely finish, let it age for a few years. Enjoy between 2026 and 2038.
