"A Hermitage with natural class".

"Hermitage Domaine des Tourettes 2022 reveals a pure, elegant bouquet of flowers, dark berries and spices, complemented by hints of licorice. Medium to full-bodied, structured and refined, it has velvety, fine tannins, with an energetic mid-palate enhanced by lively acids, and finishes long, ethereal and elegant. This magnificent Hermitage exudes energy and freshness, and will benefit from being left for some time to integrate its ageing. It promises to be a remarkable bottle". (Wine Advocate 2025)

Bettane & Desseauve

Domaine rated (guide 2023) 3*Stars (High-quality production that can serve as a benchmark in its sector)

About the domain :

In his new facilities in the heart of Tain, Jacques Grange has at his disposal sublime, state-of-the-art equipment. He is assisted by Marco Beckmann, an Italian oenologist and wine taster. Future vintages look promising. In Hermitage, the new cuvée from the hilltop Grandes Vignes reveals this little-used terroir.

About the domain :

Founded in 1835 and owned by Champagne Deutz (Roederer group) since 1977. Under the direction of Fabrice Rosset and his technical director Jacques Grange, the company has 30 hectares of its own vineyards in the northern appellations, supplemented by grape purchases, with the southern range coming from the négociant-éléveur side of the business.

About the wine:

From vines planted in two areas of the Hermitage hillside, Les Bessards (seven hectares) and Les Grandes Vignes (two hectares and the highest vines on the hill), Hermitage Domaine des Tourettes 2022 reveals a pure, elegant bouquet of flowers, black berries and spices, complemented by hints of licorice. It promises to be a remarkable bottle. It was aged entirely in barrels, 25% of which were new, and only the Les Grandes Vignes part underwent fermentation with 80% whole bunches.

Domaine noté (guide 2023) Sélectionné (We remind you that this guide is a prize list and as such, all the estates that appear in it, even without a star, represent, in our eyes, the excellence of French production).

About the domain :

Delas has been part of Champagne Deutz since 1977, and is now part of the Louis Roederer group. Priority has been given to vineyards with a high proportion of massal selection plantings. The company has its own vineyards covering 30 hectares, including 10 in Hermitage: 8 at Les Bessards and 2 at L'Ermite. The company completes its range by purchasing musts and grapes. We confess to sometimes being a little circumspect when faced with the overly marked ageing of the most prestigious cuvées, which in our opinion deserve to be worked closer to the fruit and freshness. It should be noted that, since 2019, the house has had a brand-new vinification and reception facility in Tain.

Jancis Robinson

Wine rated (2023 guide) 17/20

About the wine:

A very fleshy, spicy nose, with notes of scrap metal and dried earth. The palate is fairly linear, with a blend of savory, fleshy notes and ripe black fruit. The tannins are very well controlled, fine and balanced in the wine's structure. Attractive, fresh acidity brings vivacity and direction.

Wine rated (2024 guide) 93/100

About the wine:

Hermitage Domaine des Tourettes 2022 reveals notes of ripe red fruit, black cherry and black plum, accompanied by vegetal nuances and a hint of black pepper. Medium-bodied, taut and structured, this tasty wine needs at least three more years in a cool cellar for its firm tannic core to soften.

Rated domain (guide 2022) Recommended

About the wine:

Complex, roasted nose, with deep red fruit aromas. A refined Hermitage, quite accessible for an appellation reputed to require long ageing. Fleshy and elegant, with discreet tannins on the palate, medium-bodied. Then, just when you think it's a bit easy, the structured, mineral finish reminds you who's boss. Mainly from the lower slopes of Les Bessards. Aged 100% in Burgundian oak barrels, a quarter of them new, for 15 months. Can be drunk now, but will be at its peak from 2025.

About the wine:

Notes of blackberry, cassis, leather and graphite characterize Hermitage Domaine Des Tourettes 2022, a fragrant, complex and classic expression of Hermitage. With medium to full-bodied richness, tons of sweet fruit, ripe tannins and a beautiful finish, let it age for a few years. Drink between 2026 and 2038.
