“A concentrated and subtly nuanced Condrieu”
"Made from grapes grown near Château Grillet, the 2022 Condrieu Clos Boucher reveals a ripe bouquet of almonds, apricots, jasmine, flowers, and spices. Medium-bodied to full-bodied, textured, and enveloping, it is lively with a beautiful oaky mid-palate, leading to a long, delicate, and ethereal finish. Fresh and beautifully balanced, this vintage captures the very essence of Condrieu and promises to be a classic in the making.” (Wine Advocate 2025)

Bettane & Desseauve
Rated estate (2023 guide) 3*Stars (High-quality production, setting the standard in its sector)
About the estate:
At his new facilities in the heart of Tain, Jacques Grange has a superb, state-of-the-art facility at his disposal. He is assisted by Marco Beckmann, an Italian oenologist and expert taster. The coming vintages look promising. In Hermitage, the new cuvée from the Grandes Vignes at the top of the hill brings this underutilized terroir to the forefront.
Guide Hachette des vins
Rated estate (2023 guide) Award-winning wines (This producer’s wines are regularly recognized by the guide)
About the estate:
Founded in 1835, the house has been owned by Champagne Deutz (Roederer Group) since 1977. Under the leadership of Fabrice Rosset and his technical director Jacques Grange, it owns 30 hectares of vineyards in the northern appellations, supplemented by purchased grapes; the southern range comes from the négociant-éleveur division.

RVF - La Revue du Vin de France / Guide des Meilleurs Vins de France
Rated Estate (2023 Guide) Selected (Please note that this guide is a ranking, and as such, all the estates listed here—even those without a star—represent, in our view, the pinnacle of French winemaking.)
About the estate:
Part of the Deutz Champagne house since 1977—which itself is part of the Louis Roederer group—Delas is a reputable winery. Priority has been given to vineyards with extensive mass-selection plantings. The house cultivates 30 hectares of its own vineyards, including 10 very well-located plots in Hermitage: 8 in Les Bessards and 2 in L'Ermite. The house rounds out its range with purchases of must or grapes. We admit to being somewhat cautious at times regarding the overly pronounced aging of the most prestigious vintages, which, in our opinion, would benefit from being crafted with a greater emphasis on fruit and freshness. It is worth noting that, since 2019, the winery has had a brand-new winemaking and reception facility in Tain.

Wine rated (2024 guide) 93/100
About the wine:
The 2022 Condrieu Clos Boucher surpasses the 2022 La Galopine, offering greater freshness, complexity, and finesse. Made from Viognier grapes harvested on August 22, the 2022 opens with pronounced notes of nettle, apricot, white peach, and lemon zest. Its lively acidity is due to a deliberately halted malolactic fermentation. Finishing with notes of salt and wet stone in a concentrated finish, the 2022 vintage, medium-bodied to full-bodied, is exquisite.

About the wine:
A complex nose of very ripe peaches, coconut, and tropical flowers. Rich and silky with excellent concentration. The medium-bodied to full-bodied palate is exquisitely nuanced. Creamy on the mid-palate, then silky in the very long finish. Aged in Burgundy oak barrels for one year, followed by six months on the lees in stainless steel.

About the wine:
The 2022 Condrieu Clos Boucher is undoubtedly the closest thing to a Château Grillet. This wine is characterized by magnificent aromatic notes of stone fruit, crushed stone, white peach, and minty flowers. Full-bodied and concentrated, it offers a precise and elegant palate and an exceptional finish. Best enjoyed between 2025 and 2035.
