Rated estate (2016 guide): 2*Stars (A solid, recommendable wine, though slightly more consistent and uniform than the previous vintage)

About the estate:

In the Haut-Vaucluse region, nestled against the Dentelles de Séguret, the Domaine de l’Amauve is a distinguished representative of the appellation, led by the inspiring Christian Voeux. Deeply committed to sustainable viticultural practices, Voeux draws on the experience he gained at Château Mont Redon and also produces wine at Château La Nerthe in Châteauneuf-du-Pape. He sensitively brings out the character of the old vines growing on the estate’s 20 hectares of sandy and stony soil.

Review and comment by Mr. JEAN LUC E. Posted on 12/21/2016

The nose offers lingering citrus notes. The mid-palate is a bit flat. The finish is average. Two days after opening, the wine is more appealing overall, despite a lack of complexity. I’d describe this wine as decent...nothing more.
