Domaine Chamfort

Domaine Chamfort is situated at the foot of a unique geological formation, the Dentelles de Montmirail. It has been run since 2010 by Vasco Perdigao, who spent several years making wine in the vertiginous vineyards of the northern Côtes-du-Rhône.

Domaine Chamfort’s vineyards span 26 hectares and span four appellations: Rasteau, Sablet, Séguret Côtes du Rhône Villages, and Vacqueyras. Vineyard management relies primarily on mechanical methods to prevent weed growth. Fertilizer use is limited to organic fertilizers, sulfur, and copper to prevent disease. 

Domaine Chamfort’s wines reflect the identity of each terroir, with freshness as their defining characteristic. Vasco uses extended maceration to gently extract the juice from the grapes and goes to great lengths to preserve the grapes’ finesse and fruitiness intact. A promising young estate!
