Domaine Chamfort

The Chamfort estate lies at the foot of a unique geological formation, the Dentelles de Montmirail. It has been run since 2010 by Vasco Perdigao, who spent several years making wine in the vertiginous vineyards of the northern Côtes-du-Rhône.

The Domaine Chamfort vineyard covers 26 hectares and four appellations: Rasteau, Sablet, Séguret Côtes du Rhône villages, and Vacqueyras. Work in the vineyard is mainly mechanical to prevent weed infestations. Fertilizer use is limited to organic fertilizers, sulfur, and copper to prevent disease. 

The wines of Domaine Chamfort reflect the identity of each terroir, with freshness as the common thread. Vasco uses long vatting periods to gently extract the juice from the grapes and does everything possible to preserve the finesse and fruitiness of the grapes. A promising young estate!
