Domaine Chamfort

Domaine Chamfort is situated at the foot of a unique geological formation, the Dentelles de Montmirail. It has been run since 2010 by Vasco Perdigao, who spent several years making wine in the vertiginous vineyards of the northern Côtes-du-Rhône.

The Domaine Chamfort vineyard spans 26 hectares and four appellations: Rasteau, Sablet, Séguret Côtes du Rhône Villages, and Vacqueyras. Vineyard management is primarily mechanical to prevent weed growth. Fertilizer use is limited to organic fertilizers, sulfur, and copper to prevent disease. 

The wines of Domaine Chamfort reflect the identity of each terroir, with freshness as their defining characteristic. Vasco employs extended maceration to gently extract the grape juice and goes to great lengths to preserve the grapes’ finesse and fruitiness intact. A promising young estate!
