“A lovely, soft palate with depth. Very appealing fruit, fresh yet perfectly balanced in its ripeness. The tannins envelop the fruit without overpowering it.” (RVF June 2014 – 2013 Vintage Special) Bordering the renowned Gigondas appellation, the Chamfort estate’s Côtes-du-Rhône Sablet vineyard is situated on terraces high above the village. It is planted with Syrah vines around twenty years old and Grenache vines approximately fifty years old. This is a refined wine that offers beautiful red fruit and exceptional freshness.

Rated estate (2016 guide): 3 stars (High-quality production, setting the standard in its sector)

About the estate:

Trained under the brilliant Alain Paret (whose "Saint-Joseph 420 Nuits" is magnificent), Vasco Urruty Perdigao heads this estate, which boasts exceptional terroirs in Sablet, Rasteau, and Vacqueyras. Together with his wife Sonia, they form a dynamic duo of innovative and passionate winemakers. A transition to organic farming has been underway for several years, and there have been numerous advancements in winemaking techniques. A winery on the rise! Bravo
