Domaine de la Gayère - Cuvée de Chris 2018

1*Étoile

Hachette

“This special cuvée, which was Favorite the 2009 vintage, returns in fine form in a more challenging year. More elegant than powerful, the fruit aromas, tinged with spice, permeate a beautifully structured, balanced palate, supported by velvety tannins and well-preserved freshness. A fine classic.” (Le Guide Hachette des Vins 2021) A Côtes-du-Rhône for everyday enjoyment!

Rated estate (2019 guide) 1*Star (A high-quality, recommendable wine that lives up to what one would expect from its appellation(s))

About the estate:

Christèle Plantevin loves cooking and wine. She initially pursued a different career path before returning to Cairanne to take over this family estate, founded in 1902, where the garrigue terroir (red clay subsoil and pebbles on the surface) lends power and complexity to her wines. Limiting yields helps preserve the richness and distinctive character of both the reds and the whites.
