"A blend of half Grenache and half Syrah, this 2014 offers a delicate nose of red fruits. The fruitiness is echoed on the palate, accompanied by licorice, in a full-bodied and powerful wine, supported by high-quality tannins that are still a little harsh. A little patience is required." About wine:

A blend of half Grenache and half Syrah, this 2014 offers a delicate nose of red fruits. The fruitiness is echoed on the palate, accompanied by licorice, in a full-bodied and powerful wine, supported by high-quality tannins that are still a little harsh. A little patience is required.

About the estate:

Formerly owned by Flemish songwriter Robert Herberigs, this 28-hectare estate in Ardèche (certified organic) has been run since 1998 by Roland Terrasse, his grandson. It owes its name to the "dove-white" stone used to build the Directoire-style château. Often in the spotlight for its Côtes-du-Rhône and Villages wines.

Surprising CDR, mellow tannins, a little power + finesse: very good value for money.
