About the estate:
Formerly owned by the Flemish songwriter Robert Herberigs, this 28-hectare estate in the Ardèche (certified organic) has been run since 1998 by Roland Terrasse, his grandson. It owes its name to the “dove-white” stone used to build the Directoire-style château. Often in the spotlight for its Côtes-du-Rhône and Villages wines.

Dark, almost opaque reddish-purple color. Unfiltered. Nose: blackberry, blackcurrant, herbs, spices, sweet and sun-kissed notes, garrigue. Palate: full-bodied and supple attack of ripe blackberry and blackcurrant fruit, with hints of plum. Followed by herbaceous notes, a hint of pepper, and an immense structure of fine-grained, almost powdery tannins. Lots of substance, fleshiness, power, and character. Beautiful balance and freshness. Tannins still need to mellow. Will be at peak maturity in 2027/28, but impossible to keep it bottled up now! Score: 16.5+/20

Round, full-bodied, spicy, and opulent—this wine far surpasses its appellation.
