"A charming Côtes-du-Rhône offering excellent value for money"
"Although dominated by Grenache (60%), it is Syrah that takes center stage in this cuvée, with its deep, almost black color and heady aromas of violet and cooked blackberry. On the palate, it is dynamic, round, and velvety, shining with the freshness of its fruit and its fine, firm tannins that provide crispness and length. A charming wine with good aging potential.” (Le Guide Hachette 2024)

About the wine:
Although dominated by Grenache (60%), it is Syrah that takes center stage in this cuvée, with its deep, almost black color and heady aromas of violets and ripe blackberries. On the palate, it is dynamic, round, and velvety, shining with the freshness of its fruit and its fine, firm tannins that provide crispness and length. A charming wine with good aging potential.
About the estate:
Formerly owned by the Flemish songwriter Robert Herberigs, this 28-hectare estate in the Ardèche (certified organic) has been run since 1998 by Roland Terrasse, his grandson. It owes its name to the “dove-white” stone used to build the Directoire-style château. Often in the spotlight for its Côtes-du-Rhône and Villages wines.

Dark ruby color with a purple core. On the nose, dark fruit, notes of stewed and roasted fruit, a powerful aroma with spicy elements and forest floor notes. On the palate, it delivers exactly what the nose promises: dark fruit, power, concentration, body, and a fine-grained, firm tannin structure. Definitely a well-structured “don’t-mess-with-me wine” that exudes masculinity. Pairs well with a hearty cut of red meat. Score: 16/20
