"This year, the estate is 'seeing red' with this cuvée, which opens up unreservedly with youthful aromas of plum, fig, and spices. These delicious aromas are prolonged by a warm, full-bodied, rather plump palate of great concentration, before beautiful firm, fine tannins unfold on the finish. Character and potential. About wine:
Another favorite for the Philips after their Grand Bécassier Vieilles Vignes 2014 white last year. This year, the estate "sees red" with this cuvée, which opens up unreservedly with youthful aromas of plum, fig, and spices. These delicious aromas are prolonged by a warm, full-bodied, rather voluptuous palate with great concentration, before beautiful firm, fine tannins unfold on the finish. Character and potential.
About the estate:
Éric Philip, who settled here in 1995, and his son Sylvain run a vast 130-hectare vineyard, mainly in Sabran, divided between the Rochemond and Grand Bécassier estates. They produce Côtes-du-Rhône and village wines that are often featured in these pages, and in the best places.

A good wine to drink at the table, to keep in the cellar for those little wine cravings.

Served in February 2017 with a mild dish combining meat and fish, without sauce, followed by cheese. Everyone loved it.

Very disappointed with a favorite brand. The wine seems immature without necessarily being on the fresh side. Too bad.
