"Finesse, roundness and complexity are the watchwords of Crozes blanc".

"A blend of 50% Marsanne and 50% Roussanne, Crozes-Hermitage Blanc Cap Nord 2023 reveals a floral bouquet of spring flowers, almonds and white pears mixed with pretty notes of white peach. Medium to full-bodied, round and elegant, it has a fleshy fruity core, lively acidity, refined dry extracts and a long, perfumed, delicately bitter finish. This is undoubtedly a gourmet wine". Bettane & Desseauve

Domaine rated (guide 2024) 3*Stars (High-quality production that can serve as a benchmark in its sector)

About the domain :

One of the most regular estates in the Crozes appellation for over thirty years, where vines and apricots are grown with the same passion. Julien and David have joined their father Laurent. They farm 50 hectares of vines, mostly located on the rolled pebbles of the Châssis plain, as well as some granitic areas in the north of the appellation and a little in Saint Joseph. Clos-des-Grives, made from nine hectares of lovingly tended vines, has excelled over time in both colors.

Wine rated (2026 guide) 93/100

Domaine rated (guide 2024) 2*Stars (These great estates, often endowed with fabulous terroirs, are must-haves which, thanks to their consistency and the excellence of their production, must be included in the cellars of discerning wine lovers).

About the domain :

An engaging man, Laurent Combier has revealed the grandeur of the fine terroirs of Crozes-Hermitages, on the clay-limestone plateau with rolled pebbles of Pont-d'Isère. Vintage after vintage, he has constantly improved his wines in terms of finesse and definition, to the point where they can be compared, without blushing, to cuvées from much more prestigious terroirs. His Clos des Grives is one of the most seductive and profound Syrahs in the Rhône. Its ageing potential is remarkable in great vintages. Laurent now works with his sons Julien and David.

About the wine:

A bright, precise and delicious blend of Marsanne and Roussanne, with aromas of white peaches, raw almonds, white flowers and preserved lemons. Medium-bodied, with a savory profile on the palate. Lively, with a fresh mid-palate and a luscious, succulent finish. For drinking or cellaring.
