“Aromatic complexity, depth, and character!”

Terre d'Éclat is a selection of old Syrah vines vinified using traditional methods with gentle extraction to reach its full potential, followed by extended aging in oak barrels. A wine with an intense color and complex aromas of red fruit. Its round, spicy palate reveals notes of morello cherry, leading to a structured finish. The velvety tannins add a very pleasant textural dimension. It is the perfect companion for charcuterie, red meats, game, as well as vegetable tian and chocolate desserts...

Wine rated (2026 Guide) 91/100 (2022 Vintage)

Rated estate (2026 guide) 1*Star (A serious, recommendable production that lives up to what one would expect from its appellation(s))

About the estate:

Although this vineyard was founded in 1919, it is the current generation that has really put it on the map. Sébastien Girard has transitioned the twenty or so hectares to biodynamic farming. In the Saviaux and Châssis sectors of Crozes-Hermitage, the grapes ripen well—sometimes a bit too much when global warming comes into play. Thanks to the biodynamic practices implemented here, the wines retain their structure, remaining elegant and fresh, without succumbing to opulence or heaviness.
