Domaine de la Ville Rouge
Located in Mercurol, in the heart of the Crozes-Hermitage appellation, the Red City Estate covers 18 hectares of vineyards. These vineyards are spread across three appellations: Crozes-Hermitage (red and white), Saint-Joseph (red and white), and IGP de la Drôme (red, white, and rosé)
The vineyards at Domaine de la Ville Rouge are cultivated using organic farming methods, which have been certified since 2012. Biodynamic methods are also employed and are currently undergoing certification. Manual work in the vineyards and low yields (35 hl/ha) help bring out the characteristics of the terroirs that are so dear to the winemakers.
The primary grape variety at Domaine de la Ville Rouge is Syrah. Roussane and Marsanne are also grown for the production of white wines.
