Les Pallières Estate
Domaine Les Pallières is a superb vineyard nestled against the slopes of the Dentelles de Montmirail in the Rhône Valley, spanning 25 hectares and masterfully planted by the Hilarion Roux family in the heart of a northwestern-facing Mediterranean forest. In 1998, the Brunier brothers and Kermit Lynch seized the opportunity to become owners of this magnificent estate, planted with Grenache, Syrah, Cinsault, Mourvèdre, Clairette, and Bourboulenc—thereby cementing a partnership that had begun more than 20 years earlier, when the first cases of Vieux Télégraphe were imported to the United States.

The early years were naturally devoted to restoring the vineyard at Domaine Les Pallières. Four years later, the new winery was built, where they worked diligently to scrupulously adhere to their philosophy of receiving grapes by gravity, and where the production from each plot could finally receive very specific care, given their diverse characteristics.

Domaine Les Pallières has now found its style. It was shaped by the landscape, by the influence of this unique exposure, and by the limestone scree that has cascaded down from the foothills of the Dentelles, blending with the sandy-clay soil from which the roots of a very old vineyard draw their nourishment. With a style that is at once rugged and elegant, warm and mineral, Domaine Les Pallières produces ”—a Gigondas par excellence for aging.
