Notes: Bettane & Desseauve 16/20, RVF 16/20, Decanter 16.5/20 (4****), IWC 92/100
"Once again in 2006, Les Pallières plays the elegance card with this refined and subtle wine, which also has a strong personality. Notes of ripe cherries and a touch of caramelized wood combine with tannins that are perfectly integrated into the whole." (Le Grand Guide des Vins de France 2010 - Bettane & Desseauve)

Bettane & Desseauve
Rated estate (2015 guide) 3 stars (High-quality production, serving as a benchmark in its sector)
About the estate:
Described as a "superb vineyard garden, clinging to the back of the Dentelles de Montmirail," the Les Pallières estate, owned by the Brunier family and the famous Kermit Lynch, produces the finest Gigondas wines in the appellation, vintage after vintage. Facing north, no less than 110 hectares are planted with Grenache, Syrah, Cinsault, Mourvèdre, Clairette, and Bourboulenc grape varieties, with a very high limestone content. The Les Terrasses du Diable cuvée comes from the higher plots, while Les Racines comes from the vines surrounding the old farm, where the terroir is more clayey.
Guide des Vins Gault & Millau
4-star rated estate (Very high quality production)
About the estate:
Frédéric and Daniel Brunier (Vieux Télégraphe) have been cultivating these 25 hectares of vines since 1998. The vineyard is located on the northern slope of the Dentelles de Montmirail and planted with old Grenache vines (80%), as well as Surah, Mourvèdre, Cinsault, and Clairette. On this sloping terroir, partially covered with limestone scree and a sandy-clay topsoil, the solution is to create "stepped terraces" in order to create a succession of horizontal planes that can be plowed and are capable of retaining rainwater.

RVF - La Revue du Vin de France / Guide des Meilleurs Vins de France
Rated estate (2015 guide) 2 stars (These very large estates, often blessed with fabulous terroirs, are must-haves which, thanks to their consistency and the excellence of their production, deserve a place in the cellars of discerning wine lovers).
About the estate:
Under the name Vignobles Brunier, we have brought together the estates of Vieux Télégraphe, La Roquète (renamed Accent de La Roquète from the 2011 vintage onwards) and Les Pallières in Gigondas, all owned by the Brunier brothers. Three benchmark estates. The splendid pebbles of La Crau, a warm terroir, are the source of the distinctive character of Vieux Télégraphe wines. The estate produces an important and unique cuvée of great consistency. Grapes that are lightly or not at all destemmed and aged in old casks produce rich wines that need to be cellared for a long time to dissipate their energy. They then rediscover all the minerality of this superb terroir. Located in the center of the village of Châteauneuf-du-Pape, the vineyard is mainly planted on the Pielong plateau and in the sandier Pignan district. La Roquète became, in 2011, L'Accent de La Roquète, produced from the finest grapes. The wines are always straightforward and pure, more elegant than imposing. The rest is downgraded to the Le Télégramme cuvée, a newcomer to the French market. And finally, the Les Pallières estate, a magnificent Gigondas vineyard located on terraces below the Dentelles de Montmirail. The wine expresses itself in a deep, structured style without heaviness.
