The aromas of ripe red and black fruits, spices, and toasted notes are true to the bouquet. The tannins, quite abundant, are fine and already well-integrated.

Well-balanced, with a sense of volume and roundness, and a lovely freshness from the mid-palate through the finish. The fairly abundant tannins are fine and already well-integrated.

About the estate:
A sprawling 80-hectare estate, frequently featured in these pages, was built from the ground up starting in 1964 by Odette and Henri Bour, a couple from Alsace, on the site of a Roman villa. Since 1998, their son Henri and their granddaughter Nathalie have been at the helm.

It’s a well-made, pleasant wine with a nice finish, but it needs to age to develop its full depth.
