1*Étoile
Hachette
"All the charm of the southern Rhône!"
“With its open, clean, and elegant fruit (plum) and a palate that is well-concentrated, full-bodied, and silky, this blend of Grenache and Syrah is immediately approachable. The well-integrated oak, with its notes of mocha, blends pleasantly with the macerated red berries, prolonging the pleasure on the finish.” (Le Guide Hachette 2024)

About the estate:
For four generations, this estate has been gradually expanding. Today, it spans 78 hectares, primarily in the Drôme Provençale region, around Grignan and Vinsobres. Consistently high in quality, the wines beautifully express their terroirs, thanks to expert barrel aging. The wines of the Grignan-les-Adhémar appellation are among the region’s finest examples. Of particular note is the excellent consistency of the samples tasted from the 2017 and 2018 vintages.

About the estate:
Based in a former farmhouse on the Château de Grignan estate, brothers Jean-Luc and Claude Monteillet—who are also truffle farmers—have been running this 70-hectare family estate since 1987. The estate is well known for its Grignan-les-Adhémar wines and also produces Vinsobres and IGP wines. The transition to organic farming is currently underway.

A real treat—it seems light but has good body, plenty of fruit, and low tannins; we loved it
