“This regular feature in the Guide delivers metronomic consistency, producing an Elie vintage that rivals the 2018, with its signature exquisite, restrained power. The nose captivates with its concentration of black fruits, spices, and resin. Structured and endowed with round, silky tannins, the palate displays a dense texture, imbued with aromas of jammy raspberry and blackberry, supported by delicate oaky notes—fruits of a beautifully executed aging process (12 months in demi-muids). A model of balance. » (Le Guide Hachette des Vins 2022)

About the wine:
This regular feature in the Guide displays metronomic consistency, producing an Elie vintage that lives up to the 2018, with its signature exquisite, restrained power. The nose captivates with its concentration of black fruits, spices, and resin. Well-structured and endowed with round, silky tannins, the palate displays a dense texture, imbued with aromas of jammy raspberry and blackberry, supported by delicate oaky notes—fruits of a beautifully executed aging process (12 months in demi-muids). A model of balance.
About the estate:
Located at the foot of the Notre-Dame-de-Grâce sanctuary in Rochefort-du-Gard, not far from the ancient marshes drained by monks in the Middle Ages, this estate—founded in 1994 through the merger of three small vineyards—has consistently delivered high-quality wines. Taking over from their parents, Jean-Pierre and Dominique, Romain Dubois and his wife Laure—now the sole owners of the estate—have built a new wine cellar and converted the 20 hectares of vineyards to organic farming. A (very) safe bet.
