"A real treat!"

"Bold yet elegant on the nose, this wine offers a striking bouquet of violet, lavender, and black licorice, all perfectly integrated into a sophisticated aromatic profile. The palate is more rustic, with notes of dried herbs, rose petals, and forest floor that layer over a firmly earthy finish. The dry tannins add structure and grip, centering a core of fresh black fruit. This wine combines charm and character: it is already approachable after decanting, but will be worth following over the next few years.” (Wine Enthusiast 2025)

Review by Mr. GILLES D. Published on 02/01/2026

Robust and slightly rustic, this full-bodied Rasteau is deep and moderately concentrated, with a lively acidity that tempers its vigor and highlights its aromatic intensity—composed of ripe fruit, spices, and balsamic notes. The smooth, velvety tannins lend length to the warm finish. Character and vibrancy for a Sisteron lamb shoulder with herbs, cooked on a spit. Score = 3.9.
