Domaine Dambrun
Patrick Chêne, a renowned former journalist, and his wife Laurence, Favorite wine, settled in the southern Rhône Valley, in the Vaucluse region. They founded the Dambrun Estate by purchasing an 18th-century farmhouse, surrounded by beautiful vineyards and situated at the foot of the southern slope of Mont Ventoux. The vineyards of the Dambrun Estate spans three municipalities: Caromb, Modène, and Bédoin, and comprises a 13-hectare vineyard.
It’s a safe bet that, in the coming years, the estate will earn its stripes and become one of the leading lights of the Ventoux appellation, which never ceases to amaze us.
With the support and guidance of Jérome Bressy, they laid the groundwork for a project born of more than twenty years of careful consideration, and today they’re flying solo! The choice to embrace biodynamics and respect for the environment was a natural one for them. No chemicals are used; manual labor is prioritized, and fermentation occurs naturally. These are wines with strong personalities—surprising, extraordinary, and already breaking new ground.
