3*Coup de Coeur

Hachette

"Rimage" is the translation of "vintage" and the term used by the Banyulencs to refer to the "wine of the year." Grenache Noir, long maceration, aging on lees, a few months in barrels, and here it is, dark and deep, very open with red fruit flavors, with toasted notes from aging in wood and softer, delicately milky notes from regular stirring on the lees. The palate is rich, smooth, and full-bodied, with remarkably fine tannins; cherry and blackcurrant meet a delicious spicy note. A marvel with dark chocolate or sweet and savory dishes."
