Grenache Noir, long maceration, aging on lees, a few months in barrels, and here it is, dark and deep, very open with red fruit flavors, with toasted notes from aging in wood and softer, delicately milky notes from regular stirring on the lees. About the estate:
This Banyuls estate dates back to 1611! Jean-Louis Berta-Maillol took over from his father in 1996, followed by his brothers Michel and Georges in 2003 and 2009 respectively. Their 15 hectares of vines cling to the schist slopes of the Baillauri valley, laid out in terraces.
