“A long and meticulous aging process that makes all the difference”

“The 2018 Banyuls Cuvée Méditerranée is an excellent example of a young natural sweet wine. Toasted hazelnuts and almonds, walnuts, candied strawberries and blood orange, dried apricots, prunes, Amarena cherries, white pepper, and notes of black tea characterize this superb, velvety, and harmonious sweet wine. Both fresh and spicy, it possesses just the right amount of complexity and richness to make it exceptional. Best enjoyed between 2025 and 2045.” (Jeb Dunnuck 2025)

Rated estate (2024 guide) Award-winning wines (This producer’s wines are regularly recognized by the guide)

About the wine:

This wine, with its beautiful intensity, offers aromas of candied fruit, vanilla, light tobacco, and a hint of nuts. This bouquet lingers on the palate, which is full-bodied, harmonious, and wonderfully fresh.

About the estate:

Located in the heart of Collioure, on one of the town’s narrowest streets, this winery has been run since 2006 by Laetitia Piétri-Clara, who took over from her mother, Maguy. With the support of oenologist Hélène Grau, the winemaker carries on the tradition established in the late 19th century by her great-grandfather Étienne Géraud, a doctor who returned to the family vineyards. The vineyard covers 20 hectares, primarily in the Banyuls and Collioure appellations.
