Notes: RVF 18/20
“The 2011 Fagayra Red unfolds voluptuously, with a floral and spicy body, enhanced by a noble bitterness on the finish: the sugars are subtle and admirably integrated. ” (Le Guide des Meilleurs Vins de France 2013 - RVF). A Maury of beautiful intensity, with notes of morello cherry, blackberry, candied fruit, and cocoa. A tannic and full-bodied wine, with a sensation of fruit you can almost bite into.

Bettane & Desseauve
Rated estate (2015 guide): 3 stars (High-quality production, setting the standard in its sector)
About the estate:
Stéphane Gallet, Marjorie’s husband from Roc des Anges, after leaving Mas Amiel—where he had gained valuable experience in a vineyard that was then new to him—set up his own business and immediately began producing some of the most original and accomplished Maurys of our time, the result of impeccable viticulture and winemaking that leaves nothing to chance.

Rated estate (2015 guide) 2*Stars (These exceptional estates, often boasting fabulous terroirs, are must-haves that, thanks to their consistency and the excellence of their wines, deserve a place in the cellars of discerning wine lovers)
About the estate:
Marjorie and Stéphane Gallet, of the Le Roc des Anges estate, embarked on the adventure of natural sweet wines in 2008: with rare inspiration and an extreme commitment to quality, they craft magnificent expressions of schist in their three Maury cuvées. These wines—two reds and one white—transcend the inherent limitations of fortified wine by preserving a brilliance and a mineral smokiness, a term that is clearly apt here. They shed new light on a genre that is still too formulaic or conventional, and immediately rank among the very best Maury cuvées. The second star is well deserved this year.
