"Excellent. Everything is there: aromas that weave the imprint of time, a beautiful personality, a refined texture where everything is in its place, very great ageing potential. Exquisite. (Le Guide des Vins Bettane & Desseauve)

About the wine:

Aged more than twenty years in wood, this amber wine has an aged color, with hints of bronze and coffee, a far cry from the original white. On the nose, as one juror put it, "it's downright rancio! It's true that walnuts and dried fruit make their presence felt from the very first whiff. Less marked by rancio, the palate evokes cocoa, enhanced by a soft toasted note. The volume is very respectable, and the dried fruit finish is very pleasant.

About the domain :

Acquired in 1992 by the Bertrand family, this 50-hectare estate, set against the hills of Castelnou, proudly boasts superb, well-restored 13th-century buildings. The vineyard has been certified organic since 2013.
