Crémant de Savoie
Crémant de Savoie joined the Crémant family on September 11, 2015, the date on which it officially received its Appellation d’Origine Contrôlée (AOC) designation.
This official recognition crowns a long tradition of producing high-quality sparkling wines in the Savoie wine region.
The AOC Savoie vineyards are primarily located on the steep slopes bordering the valleys. This unique characteristic is complemented by an Alpine terroir, with elevations ranging from 250 to 450 meters and varied exposures depending on the micro-terroirs. 60% of the blend must consist of the Savoyard grape varieties Jacquère and Altesse (with a minimum of 40% Jacquère). For the remaining 40%, varieties such as Chasselas, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Gamay are permitted, with a maximum of 20% red grape varieties.
