Winemakers of Buzet
The Vignerons de Buzet winery was founded in 1953, driven by the winemakers’ desire to restore their wine to the glory of centuries past. Initially classified as VDQS, the Buzet vineyard achieved AOC Buzet status in 1973.

Located in the heart of southwestern France and the Garonne Valley—a region known for its “good life”—Buzet, a charming village on the left bank of the picturesque Baïse River, has witnessed history unfold since the days of the Roman legions. The wine of the Vignerons de Buzet reflects a history as varied as the soil of the hillsides across the twenty-seven communes of the appellation.

Nearby, the immense Landes Forest, the largest in Europe, pleasantly moderates the oceanic climate. A climate and soils conducive to viticulture—assets appreciated by Bacchus—have fostered the planting and development of one of France’s oldest vineyards. Today, the Vignerons de Buzet vineyard is bordered on one side by the Garonne River and on the other by the Landes Forest, and spans 2,000 hectares of vineyards, stretching across 40 km of hillsides in the heart of the Albret region.
