"A lovely vintage aged for 18 months in oak barrels, opening with delicious aromas of stewed red fruits, raisins, and kirsch, complemented by balsamic notes. The palate is full-bodied, rich, and robust, with firm tannins and good aging potential. A bottle with character that would pair well with spicy cuisine. (Le Guide Hachette 2024). An exceptional Cahors!

Wine rated 92/100

Rated estate (2021 guide) 3 stars (High-quality production, serving as a benchmark in its sector)

About wine:

A great wine variety, intense, vinous, powerful tannins, full-bodied and aromatic, dense, with Cadurcian signature elegance, finesse, and texture. Great potential.

About the estate:

Well supported, Germain Croisille embodies the revival of Cahors, with a modern approach that has abandoned the use of new wood. The wines, certified organic, have gained in finesse, accessibility, depth, and expression of terroir. Today, they have reached a remarkable level, with a fresh and distinctive style. A superb success this year, everything is good and of unparalleled purity.

About the estate:

The appellation has seen a new generation passionate about Malbec arrive on the scene. Without denying the great Cahors wines of yesteryear, which age without compromise, the new Cahors winemakers handle the grapes in such a way that they offer an intense floral sensation. Germain Croisille, who converted the estate created by his parents, has mastered the technique to such an extent that he produces wines of rare subtlety, while remaining true to the traditions of Causse Malbec. The subtle extraction and depth of maturity result in wines that can be enjoyed now but are also capable of aging.
