2*Coup de Coeur

Hachette

The flagship wine of the range, produced from old Malbec vines harvested by hand and aged for eighteen months in barrels. The 2010 vintage, dark garnet in color, opens with a complex bouquet where the nuances of the aging process complement the fruit. Solidly constructed, the palate is full-bodied, concentrated and persistent, underpinned by tight tannins that suggest real potential. However, this bottle can be opened soon to accompany traditional confit or a nice rib steak." (Le Guide Hachette des Vins 2013)

About wine:

The flagship of the range, produced from old Malbec vines harvested by hand and aged for eighteen months in barrels. The 2010 vintage, dark garnet in color, opens with a complex nose where the nuances of the aging process complement the fruit. Solidly constructed, the palate is full-bodied, concentrated and persistent, underpinned by tight tannins that suggest real potential. However, this bottle can be opened soon to accompany traditional confit or a nice ribeye steak.

About the estate:

A 50-hectare estate founded in 1862 on the second and third terraces of the Lot. Today, the fifth and sixth generations work together, with Anne and Emmanuelle Burc joining their father Jean-Luc, producing Cahors wines of consistently high quality.
