About the estate:
The European pond turtle, a nod to those fighting to protect endangered species, is often featured on the labels of the Uby estate (both vineyard and wine merchant), founded in 1956. At the helm of this vast vineyard (300 ha) since 1995, François Morel has implemented numerous initiatives focused on environmental stewardship and, for the wine merchant division, selects partners who supply organic grapes.

A heavy, high-alcohol Chardonnay, lacking in finesse. Was it the bottle—which was frankly terrible—or a vintage that was too hot? It’s a mystery, but on that day, the wine wasn’t finished.
