Award: CGA Paris Gold Medal
Colombard and Ugni Blanc complement each other perfectly here to create a wine that is both complex and intense, revealing exotic notes with hints of mint. The palate has a lively, crisp attack that gives way to a round, full-bodied mouthfeel enveloped in ripe fruit. A truly invigorating wine!

About the estate:
The European pond turtle, a nod to those fighting to protect endangered species, is often featured on the labels of the Uby estate (both vineyard and wine merchant), founded in 1956. At the helm of this vast vineyard (300 ha) since 1995, François Morel has implemented numerous initiatives focused on environmental stewardship and, for the wine merchant division, selects partners who supply organic grapes.

A bit disappointing; too strong on the palate. The 2010 was better.

Like Tariquet Premières Grives, this is an alcoholic fruit juice with a grapefruit flavor, even though it’s inexpensive.

A sure bet. With gourmet dishes. Scallops in a vanilla and saffron sauce. Monkfish with green pepper.
