About the estate:
The European pond turtle, a nod to those fighting to protect endangered species, is often featured on the labels of the Uby estate (both vineyard and wine merchant), founded in 1956. At the helm of this vast vineyard (300 ha) since 1995, François Morel has implemented numerous initiatives focused on environmental stewardship and, for the wine merchant division, selects partners who supply organic grapes.

A light, fruit-forward wine, perfect for pairing with a brioche-style sausage, for example.

Absolutely superb—what a pleasant surprise! Aromas of coffee. Drink half a bottle after opening and let it breathe in a large glass (tasted on a terrace one evening in late summer). It’s a shame that “1 Day 1 Wine” didn’t include this in their 2014 sale.

A light wine perfect for sharing with friends (at a "Mont d'Or" party, for example) that disappeared from our cellar so quickly I’m rushing to reorder it! At this price, you shouldn’t hesitate.

It’s surprising at first taste, and still good on the second try, but then you get tired of it.

Very long on the palate, round, silky, powerful without being overpowering, with very well-balanced tannins

Disappointed by this wine—it's too acidic, lacks depth, and has no aroma.

Clearly, this was a (rare) batch that went sour—literally. As soon as I contacted 1J1V’s customer service, they got in touch with the winery, and a few days later I received a new shipment, of the same quality as my previous orders: an explosion of red berries on the palate. I’ll definitely be ordering again...
