Uby One Tannat is a wine that has been aged for three months in oak barrels (100% American). The red version, made from the Tannat grape, offers a nose of licorice and smoke, and a rich palate with intense notes of vanilla and coffee, followed by a lovely finish... A delightful red from the Southwest!

About the estate:

The European pond turtle, a nod to those fighting to protect endangered species, is often featured on the labels of the Uby estate (both vineyard and wine merchant), founded in 1956. At the helm of this vast vineyard (300 ha) since 1995, François Morel has implemented numerous initiatives focused on environmental stewardship and, for the wine merchant division, selects partners who supply organic grapes.

Extraordinary. Tasted it last night with friends who are used to Bordeaux wines. I didn't have the tasting notes in front of me, but we all picked up on the vanilla and coffee on the palate, along with smoky aromas and oak aging. A real discovery, a true pleasure!
