Château Peyros

Château Peyros ("stony place" in Gascon) is located in the Haut Béarn region of southwestern France, and its origins date back to the 17th century.

The estate was considered a benchmark in the 1960s, with sommeliers and top Parisian restaurants recommending it highly. In the early 1990s, Château Peyros began to run out of steam due to its ageing and lack of heirs, and it was thanks to the Lesgourgues family (also owners in Bas Armagnac and Graves) who took over the estate that it regained its reputation.

The 21 hectares of Château Peyros benefit from optimum sunshine and are planted on silty-sandy-clay soils.
