“100% Tannat, vinified and aged (30 months) in 500-liter barrels, and 100% from the same small 50-are plot. This Madiran offers 100% pure pleasure, boasting an impressively intense black color and a seductive nose with woody and compote-like notes of black fruits and spices. On the palate, as expected, it is a full-bodied and powerful wine, with perfectly ripe, well-integrated tannins, great body, and admirable harmony. 100% Favorite, and will age beautifully.” (Le Guide Hachette 2026).

About the wine:
100% Tannat, vinified and then aged (30 months) in 500-liter barrels, all from the same small 50-are plot. This Madiran is a true delight, boasting an impressively intense black color and a seductive nose with woody, compote-like notes of black fruit and spices. On the palate, unsurprisingly, the wine is full-bodied and powerful, with perfectly ripe, well-integrated tannins, great body, and admirable harmony. 100% Favorite —and it will age beautifully for years to come.
About the estate:
This historic estate, whose origins date back to the 17th century and whose name means “stony ground” in Gascon, has been owned by the Lesgourgues family since 1999. The family already owned properties in Bas Armagnac and the Graves: 26 hectares of vineyards are now managed by the third generation, represented by Arnaud Lesgourgues.
