"A rare wine, made only in great vintages; also rare in terms of volume, as it comes from a small 1.5-hectare parcel crossed by the Greenwich meridian and planted with venerable Tannat vines aged between 55 and 100 years. Rare, finally, for the remarkable quality of this 2020, whose key word is "elegance". Elegance with a lively bouquet of black fruits, pepper and menthol. Elegance on the palate, full-bodied, fresh, powerful without being rigorous, built on fine-grained tannins and stretched out into a long, deep, seductive finish. Already a devilishly charming wine, this Madiran is far from having said its last word". (Le Guide Hachette 2025)

About the domain :
This ancient estate, whose origins date back to the 17th century and whose name means "stony ground" in Gascon, has belonged since 1999 to the Lesgourgues family, already owners in Bas Armagnac and the Graves: 26 ha of vines now run by the third generation, represented by Arnaud Lesgourgues.
Vert de Vin
Wine rated (2023 guide) 90-91/100 (Jonathan Choukroun Chicheportiche)
About the wine:
The wine has a deep ruby color. The nose expresses great concentration and freshness, with notes of morello cherry, black plum, blueberry and red cherry, complemented by sweet notes of cinnamon, vanilla, licorice, chocolate mint and morello cherry jam. On the palate, the attack is round and warm, with notes of candied red and black fruit (prunes, cherry jam) and fresh fruit (black plum, red plum, Morello cherry), with sweet spices on the finish (clove, licorice, cinnamon). Tannins are powerful and drying, needing time to soften. High acidity balances the astringency of the tannins. A full-bodied, rich wine.
