About the estate:
This historic estate, whose origins date back to the 17th century and whose name means “stony ground” in Gascon, has been owned by the Lesgourgues family since 1999. The family already owns properties in Bas Armagnac and the Graves: 26 hectares of vineyards are now managed by the third generation, represented by Arnaud Lesgourgues.

About the wine:
The wine has a deep ruby color. The nose is highly concentrated and fresh, revealing notes of morello cherry, black plum, blueberry, and red cherry, complemented by subtle hints of cinnamon, vanilla, licorice, chocolate mint, and morello cherry jam. On the palate, the attack is round and warm, with notes of candied red and black fruits (prunes, cherry jam) and fresh fruits (black plum, red plum, morello cherry), followed by soft spices on the finish (cloves, licorice, cinnamon). The tannins are powerful and drying and need time to soften. High acidity helps balance the astringency of the tannins. A full-bodied and rich wine.
