"Sauvignon at its most elegant!"

“The Sauvignon Blanc (80%) and Sauvignon Gris grapes used to create this cuvée underwent maceration and initial fermentation in tanks, followed by barrel aging on the lees with bâtonnage. This process gives the wine a delicate profile, blending white flowers, citrus, aromatic herbs, buttery notes, and mild spices. The aging also contributes to its round, silky texture. Well-integrated acidity provides balance and highlights aromas of white fruit with a hint of oak. A very elegant interpretation of Sauvignon.” (Le Guide Hachette 2026).

Guide Hachette des vins

Wine rated (2026 guide) 2* Stars (Outstanding Wine)

Rated Estate: Award-Winning Wines (This producer's wines regularly receive awards from the guide)

About the wine:

The Sauvignon Blanc (80%) and Sauvignon Gris grapes used to create this cuvée underwent maceration and initial fermentation in tanks, followed by barrel aging on the lees with regular stirring. This process gives the wine a delicate profile, blending white flowers, citrus, aromatic herbs, buttery notes, and mild spices. The aging also contributes to its round, silky texture. Well-integrated acidity provides balance and highlights aromas of white fruit with a hint of oak. A very elegant interpretation of Sauvignon.

About the estate:

A very old family estate (1749) located on the hills above Montravel, this vast property is now one of the leading names in the Bergerac region, thanks to the work carried out since 1990 (when the estate left the cooperative) by Jean-François Deffarge, a “self-taught oenologist,” who is now passing the torch to his sons Benjamin and Quentin. The vineyard (50 ha) spans two distinct terroirs: clay-limestone slopes and a high plateau of boulbène soil. Currently in the process of converting to organic farming.
