Château Moulin Caresse
Château Moulin Caresse has been a family-owned estate since 1749 and is located 20 km east of Saint-Emilion. The Château Moulin Caresse vineyard spans 52 hectares, 34 of which are planted with vines, overlooking the Dordogne Valley from a height of 80 meters.

The Château Moulin Caresse vineyard is divided between clay-limestone slopes and the sun-drenched Boulbènes plateau. This privileged location, along with the variety of terroirs and grape varieties, allows for the production of AOC Montravel wines, among others, that are as distinct as they are complementary. Under the direction of Jean-François Deffarge, the vineyards of Château Moulin Caresse are cultivated using sustainable farming practices, without herbicides, with under-row cultivation and grass cover. These meticulous care practices enable Château Moulin Caresse to produce, among other wines, sumptuous Montravel—a very young appellation of which Jean-François Deffarge is already the finest representative.
