Château Moulin Caresse
Château Moulin Caresse has been a family-owned estate since 1749 and is located 20 km east of Saint-Emilion. The Château Moulin Caresse vineyard spans 52 hectares, 34 of which are planted with vines, overlooking the Dordogne Valley from a height of 80 meters.

The Château Moulin Caresse vineyard is divided between clay-limestone slopes and the sun-drenched Boulbènes plateau. This privileged location, combined with the variety of terroirs and grape varieties, allows the estate to produce AOC Montravel wines, among others, that are as diverse as they are complementary. Under the direction of Jean-François Deffarge, the vineyards at Château Moulin Caresse are cultivated using sustainable farming practices—free of herbicides, with soil worked between the rows and covered with grass. These meticulous care practices enable Château Moulin Caresse to produce, among other wines, sumptuous Montravel—a very young appellation for which Jean-François Deffarge is already the foremost representative.
