Château Moulin Caresse

Château Moulin Caresse has been a family estate since 1749, located 20 km east of Saint-Emilion. The Château Moulin Caresse vineyard extends over 52 hectares, 34 of which are planted with vines, 80 meters above the Dordogne valley.

The Château Moulin Caresse vineyard is divided between clay-limestone slopes and the boulbènes plateau, and faces full sun. This privileged location, combined with the variety of terroirs and grape varieties, enables us to produce AOC Montravel wines that are as different as they are complementary. Managed by Jean-François Deffarge, Château Moulin Caresse 's vines are cultivated using a "lutte raisonnée" method, without herbicides, and are worked under the rows and grassed. This care and attention to detail enables Château Moulin Caresse to produce, among other things, sumptuous Montravel, a young appellation of which Jean-François Deffarge is already the best representative.
