“A light and airy cake, bursting with flavor and emotion!”

“Bright, vibrant straw color. Floral notes with hints of fresh quince, pear, honey, and lemongrass. The palate has an elegant texture and beautifully balances sweetness with lively, pleasant acidity, featuring juicy young fruit and a crisp, long finish.” (Andreas Larsson)

Rated estate (2026 guide) 2*Stars (A solid, recommendable vintage, though slightly more consistent and uniform than the previous one)

About the estate:

The Laplace brothers manage this 65-hectare estate and the small winery attached to it with great dedication. They have successfully adapted the style of local wines to modern demands, striving for greater balance and precision in the winemaking process. They never lack imagination when it comes to creating wines with character at very reasonable prices.

Rated Estate Award-winning Wines (This producer's wines are regularly recognized by the guide)

About the estate:

Château d'Aydie is a family business (and a sure bet): four of the Laplace children are now following in the footsteps of their grandfather Frédéric, who was one of the first to sell Madiran by the bottle, with the help of André Daguin, the famous Gascon chef. In addition to the 62-hectare estate, the family has established a wine trading business.
