Boekenhoutskloof

Boekenhoutskloof
In 1776, in the heart of South Africa's Franschhoek Valley, Domaine Boekenhoutskloof was established as one of the region's oldest wine estates. For over 200 years, the estate has been run by the same family, and bears the name "Boekenhout Ravine", the latter being a beech tree indigenous to the Cape.

In 1993, a new era marked the beginning of a major transformation for Boekenhoutskloof, including the complete renovation of the estate and a program of planting prestigious grape varieties such as Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Grenache, Semillon and Viognier.

Under Marc Kent's management since 1996, the Boekenhoutskloof estate has blossomed into one of South Africa's finest wine estates, working closely with Gottfried Mocke, a South African winemaker with international experience. Their meticulous, ecologically-sound work now produces cuvees with the fullest expression of their terroir: simply sublime.
