"One of the best Rieslings in the world—and a masterpiece, according to Suckling!"
“A wine of immense mineral density and compact concentration. For now, it is still in its infancy, like holding a candle up to an eggshell and catching a glimpse of the silhouette of life developing inside. A lively core of citrus zest, supported by a tenacious texture. A striking portrait of its potential, a monument in the making. 2027–2037” (Jancis Robinson 2026)

Wine rated (2025 guide) 97/100 (Extraordinary wine)
Estate rated "Recommended" (Wine producer recommended by Robert Parker - The Wine Advocate)
About the wine:
Sourced from the heart of the vineyard and aged in 1.5- and 3-liter oak barrels, the 2024 Morstein GG Westhofen Riesling offers a pure, intense, and precise bouquet, with aromas of perfectly ripe yellow fruit, a hint of soft oak, notes of lemon zest, and chalky and salty undertones. Full-bodied, refined, and very elegant on the palate, this is a pure Morstein—highly briny and energetic, with a very long, appetizing finish, substantial body, citrus notes, and fine, crisp tannins. Declared alcohol content: 12%. Natural cork. Tasted at the estate in August 2025. 2031–2060

Wine rated (2025 guide) 98/100
About the wine:
The 2024 Westhofener Morstein Grosses Gewächs Riesling offers equal parts notes of yeast, chervil, and lemon zest. On the palate, it is remarkably fresh and utterly serene. There is something deeply serene about this wine, with notes of pure lemon and limestone. It is persistent and eternally calm. It may be more understated than other Morstein vintages, but it exudes confidence. The 2024 is fresh, lively, and briny. (Very dry). 2028–2060

About the wine:
Although still very young, this dry Riesling masterpiece displays a texture of immense complexity. With tremendous concentration, it is also very lively. It offers lovely citrus and herbal freshness, as well as superb acidity in an extremely long and precise finish. Made from 3 hectares located in the heart of this terroir. Made from grapes grown using biodynamic farming methods and certified “Respekt.” Enjoy now or cell it.
