Domaine Jean-Marie Haag
In the heart of the Vallée Noble, 20 km south of Colmar, the Domaine Jean-Marie Haag is run by Jean-Marie and Myriam Haag since 1988. The vineyards of Domaine Jean-Marie Haag lies at the foot of the Vosges mountains, protected from the weather by the hills of the Petit and Grand Ballon d'Alsace. The vines are planted on steep slopes, up to 40%, for optimum sunshine. The subsoil is mainly limestone, with some calcareous-sandstone areas.
Domaine Jean-Marie Haag is certified HVE 3 (Haute Valeur Environnementale), a philosophy of vineyard management that results in partially tilled soil, natural grassing and preservation of the ecosystem.
