Wine rating (2019 guide) 14.5/20 (2016 vintage) (Good wine)

Rated estate (2020 guide) 2 stars (A serious and recommendable production, but a little more consistent and uniform than the previous one)

About the estate:

This 7-hectare estate cultivates most of its vineyards on the slopes of the Zinnkoepflé grand cru and nearby. Unsurprisingly, Gewurztraminers are the stars of the estate, but in 2015 Pinot Noirs are also part of the party. The 2016 vintage is a success, particularly for Gewurztraminer and Riesling. The 2017 vintage is a nice group, with the exception of the Grand Cru Gewurztraminer, which is overly marked by its residual sugar.

Guide Hachette des vins

Rated estate (2020 guide) Award-winning wines (This producer's wines are regularly recognized by the guide)

About the estate:

Originally, a small plot of land tended on Sundays by Jean-Marie's grandfather, a potash miner. Today, it is a 7-hectare property in the heart of the Vallée Noble, 20 km south of Colmar, run by Jean-Marie Haag since 1988. Beautiful terroir wines, notably Gewurztraminers from the Zinnkoepflé grand cru, a majestic hillside sheltered by the Grand and Petit Ballon mountains.

Wine rating (2019 guide) 14.5/20 (2016 vintage) (Good wine)

Rated estate Selected (Please note that this guide is a ranking and, as such, all the estates listed in it, even those without stars, represent, in our opinion, the excellence of French production.)

About the estate:

Located in Soultzmatt, in the heart of the Vallée Noble, the estate is built around the Zinnkoepflé grand cru. The terroir wines are generally beautifully crafted, with the fullness that characterizes this area south of Colmar.
