Moltès - Alsace Steinstück 2023 (Vin orange)

The new generation of Moltès—Stéphane and Mickaël, who have been at the helm of the estate since 1995—has since converted the vineyard to organic farming. Unsurprisingly, this has given the wines more verticality and tension, and they now stand out at our annual tastings. This is just the beginning of a new adventure for this estate, founded in 1930 by Antoine Moltès.

A vineyard located about ten kilometers south of Colmar. Antoine Moltès began selling his first wines in 1925, and his son Roland explored the terroirs. Mickaël and Stéphane, who took over at the turn of the century, built a new winery and gradually shifted toward organic farming, beginning the vineyard’s conversion in 2012; they also expanded the property from 17 to 27 hectares in 2019 and established a wine trading company to broaden their product line.
