About the wine:

Alsace is the only wine-growing region in France to produce Riesling-based crémants. And Riesling is Scherwiller’s “specialty,” championed by the Confrérie des Rieslinger. It has earned this winery numerous awards for all types of wines. For the second time, this crémant has been awarded a “ Favorite.” It features fine bubbles, a delicate liveliness with a subtly herbal and minty nose, and a rich, indulgent palate with aromas of white fruits, linden blossom, and jasmine: a wine full of personality and elegance.

About the estate:

Based in Scherwiller, near Sélestat, Damien—joined by his daughter Aude—has been running a 16-hectare estate since 1998, supplementing its production with a wine trading business. Their vineyards are spread across three terroirs, including Frankstein, a granite-based grand cru located around the neighboring village of Dambach-la-Ville.

This isn't champagne! It's a crémant! The Riesling is elegant and floral, with a subtle yet alluring aroma. Fine bubbles; a very satisfying overall experience.
