About the wine:
Alsace is the only wine-growing region in France to offer Riesling-based crémants. And Riesling is Scherwiller's "specialty", championed by the Rieslinger brotherhood. It has earned the house numerous awards for all types of wine. For the second time, this crémant has been awarded a Favorite. Fine bubbles, a delicate liveliness on the nose, subtly vegetal and mentholated, and a seductive, rich mouthfeel, with aromas of white fruit, lime blossom and jasmine: personality and elegance.
About the domain :
Based in Scherwiller, near Sélestat, Damien, joined by his daughter Aude, has been running a 16-hectare estate since 1998, supplementing its production with a trading activity. Their vineyards are spread over three terroirs, including Frankstein, a granite grand cru around the neighboring village of Dambach-la-Ville.

It's not a champagne! It's a crémant! The Riesling is elegant and flowery, with a discreet but seductive nose. Fine bubbles, very satisfying overall.

A lovely crémant with fine bubbles and delicate flavors. The grape variety gives it body and a long finish. The most appreciated of the Crémant tasting evening, with its osmosis with the region and its hints of petrol.
