Frey-Sohler Estate
Frey-Sohler is the story of a family of winegrowers closely linked to the vine for 5 generations. In the 1940s, grandfather Xavier Frey set up the large grape market where the famous Alsatian houses came to stock up on Riesling. Today, the Frey-Sohler estate covers around 30 hectares and is run by the Sohler brothers: Nicolas, the winemaker, is also in charge of the vines. Jean is in charge of labeling, and Damien is in charge of sales and administration. The sixth generation has just joined the domaine.

Frey-Sohler wines come exclusively from the family estate, which produces wines in the Alsace appellations: AOC Alsace, AOC Crémant d'Alsace and AOC Grand Cru d'Alsace. In the "Alsace" appellation, the estate vinifies the 7 authorized grape varieties: Sylvaner, Pinot Blanc, Riesling, Muscat, Pinot Gris, Gewurztraminer for white wines, and Pinot Noir for rosés and reds. The estate has been Terra Vitis certified since the 2015 vintage.
