“A 100% Cabernet Sauvignon from the Margaret River region—brilliant and delicious to drink, according to The Wine Advocate!”

“Vasse Felix’s eponymous mid-range wine often offers the estate’s best value for money. This wine is an excellent example of the quality and characteristic style of Margaret River Cabernet. Layered aromas of tart redcurrant, raspberry, and cranberry mingle with notes of pencil lead, new pavement, and tobacco leaf. On the palate, there is a wonderful note of crisp redcurrant that balances the savory tannins. 2023–2030” (Wine Enthusiast 2023) • Screw cap

Rated wine (2024 guide) 94/100 (Outstanding wine)

About the wine:

The 2020 Cabernet Sauvignon offers a nose that is both earthy and mineral, with notes of gravel and petrol, graphite and iodine, raspberry, nori, pomegranate molasses, and black cherry. The wine reveals its 2020 vintage roots through a compact tannic structure and a core of lush red and purple fruit. On the finish, it possesses two elements in harmony: savory, chewy/supple/agile tannins and a jubilant character. Brilliant. This is a delightful wine to drink. These wines age exceptionally well and offer sensational value for a cellar. This is yet another great wine. 14.5% ABV, screw cap. 2024–2044

Wine rated (2023 guide) 93/100

About the wine:

A fine expression of a medium-bodied Cabernet, true to its terroir: rich notes of underbrush, black olives, and bouquet garni, with a welcome floral touch in the grainy finish; a firm structure of tannins that suggests medium-term aging in the style of a lunch-time Bordeaux. Drink now or lay it down.

About the wine:

To recognize a great Cabernet, you must be captivated by its aromas and flavors, which must be in harmony, not to mention its beautiful tannins paired with lovely acidity. Does this wine fall into that category? Absolutely. The varietal flavors are perfect and not entirely subtle—after all, this is a Cabernet—and the result is undeniably elegant and classy. A magnificent wine.
