“Soaring toward the sky, this wine is fresh and lively, full of vibrancy,” writes Vinous: “a Grüner Veltliner Spiegel of the highest caliber!”
“The 2021 Grüner Veltliner Spiegel was harvested from well-aerated loess terraces resting on Danubian limestone gravel rich in iron. On the nose, yeast notes blend into a soft, woody scent of moss, enhanced by a hint of pepper. The palate is round, with a pronounced peppery note on a very airy, creamy, almost ethereal body. Soaring skyward, this wine is fresh and lively, full of elevation. Both light and lively, yet deep, the wine is animated by notes of white pepper. 2025–2040” (Vinous 2023) - screw cap

About the wine:
It opens with a hint of sulfur, which quickly gives way to aromas of ripe peach and apricot, with an intense note of wild orange oil that lingers from start to finish. Lively and full-bodied, it has an intense profile. This wine has plenty of character and offers good aging potential.
