Domaine Dupré-Goujon - Beaujolais Villages Le Clos des Muriers blanc 2022
94/100
James Suckling
"This wine could well be the best dry white wine produced to date in Beaujolais... (James Suckling)"
"[...] This wine could well be the best dry white wine produced to date in Beaujolais. The fascinating nose of chamomile and fresh garden herbs gently draws you into the creamy, medium-bodied palate, which is wonderfully delicate. The interplay of silky acidity and fine limestone minerality gives the long finish a charisma rarely found in white wines from this region. Made from two plots planted on clay-limestone soil near the village of Blace." (James Suckling 2024)

RVF - La Revue du Vin de France / Guide des Meilleurs Vins de France
Rated estate Selected (Please note that this guide is a ranking and, as such, all the estates listed in it, even those without stars, represent, in our opinion, the excellence of French production.)
About the estate:
The duo of Sébastien Dupré and Guillaume Goujon have established a confident and ambitious style over the course of several vintages. Longtime friends, they honed their skills with Frédéric Pourtalié at the Montcalmès estate for eight years, replacing cousin Vincent Guizard. After gaining some experience, they released their first vintage in 2015, with the iconic 6.3.1 cuvée, a blend from their plots (60% L'Héronde, 30% Le Pavé, 10% Brûlhier).
