About the wine:
This gem from the Dubœuf estate serves as a fine showcase for the vintage. True to the robust character of the Capitans, it reveals beautiful fruit, thanks in particular to full destemming. Its well-defined tannins and judicious aging promise excellent aging potential. (LA RVF No. 682, July–August 2024)
About the estate:
A wine merchant and producer since 1964, the innovative and media-savvy Georges Dubœuf was the first to promote and bring Beaujolais to the market. His son Franck has effectively taken over the reins since 1983. Thanks to state-of-the-art technical equipment, winemaking techniques have continued to improve in recent years. Georges Dubœuf’s tireless work as an ambassador to promote his region is admirable, and the worldwide reputation enjoyed by the company is well-deserved. The Beaujolais wine region owes him a great deal!
James Suckling
Wine rated (2024 guide) 93/100
About the wine:
This Juliénas offers an appealing interplay of moderate tannins and red fruit, with many subtle hints of spice and earth. Juicy on the palate and medium-bodied in the mid-palate, the tannins develop nicely in the long, moderately dry, and lively finish. Ready to drink now or cellared.
